Spanish Speaking Grief Group to Begin
Grupo de Apoyo a los Enlutados
My Healing Place tiene disponible un Grupo de Apoyo en español para personas que han perdido a un ser querido. El Grupo se reunira el primer y tercer martes de cada mes en la tarde. Tambien habra grupos para los hijo(a)s de los padres que asistan el Grupo de los adultos. Los grupos de los ninos seran en ingles.
Grupos tomaran lugar en la agencia My Healing Place (405 W. 22nd St.) en el edificio de educacion de la University Baptist Church. La cuota de registracion para los grupos es $25 por familia. Los grupos son continuos. Por favor de sentirse bienvenido a participar con el grupo cuantas veces sea necesario. Favor de hablar con My Healing Place si tiene problemas financieros. Family Divorce Support Group
Adults who have experienced the death of a father
Free child care for children up to age 16 is available during all Tuesday evening groups. My Healing Place forms support groups for specific loss experiences as requests for groups are received. If you or someone you know needs a particular kind of support group please contact My Healing Place to talk about the need at 472-7878. Trained volunteers are ready to facilitate groups now.

Please call My Healing Place to talk with a group coordinator about registering for one of these new groups. The group will begin as soon as there are a minimum of 5 interested persons registered. Facilitators are already trained to facilitate this group.

Grief, Loss, and Trauma Therapy
Therapy for individuals, families, and groups is provided by experienced, licensed therapists with expertise in grief counseling and therapy. Trauma assessment and intervention are also offered.
Clients will include those children and adults who have experienced the death of a loved one, witnessed violence of any kind, are dealing with divorce/separation, difficult medical diagnosis, military deployment, incarceration of a loved one, mental illness within the family, abuse, and any other situation experienced as loss.

Consultation and Training
My Healing Place professional staff will provide customized training programs for educational, medical, and faith-based professionals interested in gaining knowledge and skills related to grief, loss, and trauma. Consultation at times of crisis and special need may also be provided.
Retreats & Workshops
Special seminars, workshops, and weekend retreat formats will be offered for adults and teens. These programs offer persons the opportunity to participate in an intensive group experience of transformative group work.
