SERVICES: SUPPORT GROUPS
GRIEF
& LOSS SUPPORT GROUPS
Evening support groups are ongoing and occur two
times monthly, on either the 1st & 3rd Tuesday
or on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the
month. Each group is facilitated by two trained volunteers and supervised
by licensed clinicians. Childcare is available for children under
the age of five. The only charge to participate is a one-time $35
registration fee. Please click on a title to learn more about a
specific group.
**If you are interested in joining a group,
you must first call My Healing Place at 512-472-7878 to arrange
for an orientation/intake appointment prior to attending the first
group meeting.**
CURRENT
ONGOING SUPPORT GROUPS
1st & 3rd Tuesdays at 7pm
- Bereaved
Parents: for adults who have experienced the
death of a child or miscarriage.
- Bereaved Partners
& Spouses: for adults grieving the loss
of a significant other.
- Beyond
Suicide: for adults grieving the suicide of
a loved one.
- Children’s Groups:
Children aged 4-17 who have experienced the death of
a parent, grandparent, sibling, or other significant loved one.
Children attend one of three age-appropriate groups; Littles,
Middles, or Young
Adults.
2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 7pm
- General
Death Loss: for adults mourning the death of
a loved one such as a sibling, grandparent, father, or friend.
- Beyond Divorce: for adults in the
process of separation or divorce.
- Children
of Divorce: for children whose parents are in
the process of separation or divorce.
NEW
GROUPS FORMING
- Men’s Grief Group: for adult
men who have experienced a significant death loss.
- Daytime Spouse/Partner Loss Group:
Bereavement group for those who cannot attend the evening group
for bereaved partners and spouses.
