VOLUNTEERS:
GROUP FACILITATORS
All
of our group facilitators participate in 27 hours of facilitator
training. All training sessions are held on-site at My Healing Place.
The next training series is planned for Fall 2012.
If you would like more information or to schedule a volunteer interview
please call My Healing Place at 512-472-7878. Currently all of our
support groups meet in the evening twice monthly on a Tuesday night.
VOLUNTEERS:
SCHOOL-BASED GROUP FACILITATORS
We
are in need of daytime volunteers to assist with our day time school-based
groups with grieving students. This requires a commitment of 90
minutes a week, for 10 weeks. Groups are generally 45 minutes and
there is briefing before and debriefing afterwards with our School-Based
Coordinator who goes to the school with the facilitators.
OTHER
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
My Healing Place is currently looking for help for the following:
- Receptionist
- Child Care for children under 5 years old during evening support
groups
- Event planning/help with fundraising
- Grant writer
- Greeters for group nights
- Special Projects
- Board Committee Members (fundraising, communications, special
events)

Once you have submitted your completed application you should receive
a phone call within 2-3 days from the volunteer coordinator. If
you don’t hear from us it means we have not received your
application and will not know to contact you. If you do not receive

INTERNSHIPS
My Healing Place will interview for Fall 2012/Spring 2013 late
spring 2012. If you are interested please watch this website for
announcements on the application procedures. Please do NOT
send emails indicating interest until those postings with instructions
appear on this website in the spring.
