MHP Has a Home that Hope Built – Where Hope is Held for those who are Grieving

Make an investment in hope by sponsoring a room at My Healing Place. Donations of any amount are deeply appreciated.

The Littles Room

Cost $500 per month (make a one time donation or pledge per month)

Where children ages 3-8 are able to work through their grief through play guided by trained therapists and volunteer facilitators.

The Middles Room

Cost $500 per month (make a one time donation or pledge per month)

Where children ages 9-12 are able to work through their grief
through the use of the expressive arts, games, and active
imaginative play guided by trained therapists and volunteers.

The Teen Room

Cost $500 per month (make a one time donation or pledge per month)

Where teens ages 13-18 work with a therapist or volunteer
facilitators to integrate their experience of loss in healthy ways.
There is space for work on feelings of anger and anxiety; a healing
place in which to be vulnerable with their peers and caring adults.

Adult/Parent Rooms

2 rooms each at $500 per month

Where adults who are grieving a significant and or traumatic loss have a safe space to share their thoughts and feelings.  In this place adults find hope and courage allowing them to regain a sense of balance and continue to be a productive member of the Austin community  

Gathering Space/Training Room

Cost $1000 per month

This wonderful large space is the gathering space for all of the   MHP support groups.  Here we will soon begin our evening groups with a pot-luck supper, bringing grieving families back to the table to share a meal.  Here our groups come together to close our evenings of sharing with music, movement, and a deep sense of belonging to a healing community.  Additionally this space allows us to train all of our volunteer facilitators on site, and offer valuable training for adults in the Austin community who work with grieving children and adults.  (Medical, educational, and faith-based persons)

Room sponsors/donors of $500 or more will be recognized (with permission) on plaques to be placed outside each room.
